As you can see on the cover of this morning’s Augusta Chronicle, the playoffs are here!
The Chronicle featured three legitimate state championship contenders: Defending South Carolina state champ Midland Valley; the 28-1 Grovetown Lady Warriors; and our 5A region’s runner up Cross Creek.
At AugBball.com today I report on “Ladies Night” with videos, statistics and of course my opinions of Grovetown and Cross Creek’s run through last week’s region tournament and last night’s blowout wins.
Finally, Georgia’s boys teams (and the defending state champ Laney Lady Wildcats) tip off Wednesday night. Hoopseen.com and GHSA expert Sandy Spiel have featured prominently Laney, Richmond, and Westside in its recent coverage. So have I. (I put many links to these stories below.)
Tonight my two cameras will likely catch live action from Laney’s region champion boys and girls teams; action from Richmond Academy versus Effingham County; and hopefully also footage from Westside's home game against Rutland.
