Keshun Sherrill scored 22 points to lead New Heroes to a 91-65 win over the Den Helder Suns in Dutch Basketball League Play today. Sherrill made 10 of 17 field goals and scored 16 first half points as New Heroes built a commanding 53-28 lead going into intermission.
New Heroes improved to 2-0 after opening the season Tuesday with an 81-63 road win over Weert.
I interviewed Keshun over the phone after his team's home opener (see below). He talked about the fiery (literally) introduction before the game, his ability to use his left hand (Sherrill made 4 left handed shots Sunday), and the fact that his image is already on the back of the team's bus (See photo via New Heroes).
Of course Sherrill is the all time leading scorer for both Augusta University and the Peach Belt Conference.
