Midland Valley evens the score against Lakeside with Tuesday's home win
Anthoney Ray - Midland Valley
The long and athletic outside-inside combination of Anthoney Ray and Zach Foster, and the scrappy play of the Midland Valley overall, proved to be too much for Lakeside Tuesday as the Mustangs topped the Panthers 68-64 at home. Ray, a 6'4" guard, scored 21 points, and twice found the 6'7" Foster (10 points) rolling to the basket for dunks. The game followed by three days Saturday's matchup between the teams, which Lakeside won 69-65.
Lakeside (6-3) will now focus its attention on Friday's region opener at home against rival Greenbrier (8-1). Midland Valley will play again Monday at home against Butler (2-4).
