CSRA All Star Bowl Week owner becomes first “Foundational Sponsor” for new AugBball Football Game of the Week series
All Star Bowl games will reward players from the varsity down to the middle school level

Augusta, GA, August 21, 2019 -- Lineage of Champions and its CSRA All Star Bowl Week recently became the first “Foundational Sponsor” for the new “AugBball Football Game of the Week Powered by SUVtv” series. The weekly series will feature a full game digital broadcast showcasing the best high school varsity matchups in the CSRA every Friday, complete with commentators, multiple camera angles, instant replay and special features, including bonus coverage of notable middle school and junior varsity football action. The first game will air Friday, August 23 at 7:30 P.M. and can be watched live and on demand at theSUVtv.com/AugBball.

“Including Dameon Key, the founder of the CSRA All Star Bowl Week, at the very beginning of this project helps give our weekly series extra special meaning in the first year because while we are featuring the area’s best football teams and players, they will be evaluated and selected to play in the All Star Bowl in December,” said Chad Cook, the owner and operator of AugBball, LLC. “And with the CSRA All Star Bowl adding a middle school game to the mix for the first time this year, the news and highlights about the area’s middle school games during our broadcasts will help spread the word about the new all star game opportunity for previously excluded seventh and eighth graders.”

Held every year in December, the CSRA All Star Bowl Week is entering its ninth year, and it is one of the area’s longest running annual youth sporting events, fitting nicely alongside LOC’s even longer running youth travel basketball events, the Peach State Summer Showcase, the Icebreaker Invitational and the National Youth Basketball League, all of which serve a national audience and some of which have been in existence for close to two decades.

Like the All Star Bowl aims to do, AugBball and SUVtv’s series will encompass the entire CSRA, starting Friday, August 23, when Richmond Academy visits Hephzibah. The broadcast will move to Aiken County on August 30 to feature South Carolina class 1A state title contender Wagener-Salley’s road contest against Fox Creek. And week three will see the series move to Columbia County for North Augusta’s visit to Grovetown.

Also the first middle school matchup, the highlights from which will be featured during breaks in the first broadcasts, will be between Thomson Middle and Washington County Middle, two teams that met in their league’s championship game last season.

“In the first three weeks of the season, we’ll feature schools from six counties and players from six different grades (7-12), using the latest and greatest in live streaming technology and best practices.” Cook said. “That’s what AugBball and Lineage of Champions, two institutions that have faithfully served local athletes and fans for decades between them, can do when they join forces with a company like SUVtv, which is known by everybody in our part of the country as the best digital broadcaster in sports.”

This season will not be the first time the three companies have worked together to bring opportunities to the area’s athletes. AugBball was the title sponsor for last season’s CSRA All Star Bowl Week, and SUVtv streamed all four all star games on December 15. In fact all four of Hephzibah’s captains for this Friday night’s Game of the Week participated in those games.

“Hephzibah quarterback Marshall Chambers won player of the game honors in the Underclassmen Bowl and his teammate Enoch Howard won the same award in the Junior Bowl,” Cook said. “Putting on that post season event and featuring those players in 2018, and now being there to broadcast their season opener in 2019, shows our commitment to building long term relationships with the area’s players and coaches. And adding the middle school age group only gives us more time to do better by them.”
