Fun preseason college basketball news is flooding out of Christenberry Fieldhouse, home of the Augusta University men's basketball team, who we just found out will host Georgia Southern Friday, November 3rd in a special Hurricane Relief game.

The details about the game can be found at the link in the tweet above. In the following interview taken today after practice I talked to coach Dip Metress about Augusta's back-to-back pair of exhibition games against division 1 opponents (the Jags visit Clemson Thursday, a game I previewed here), and about Augusta being picked second in the Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll.
Here is next weekend's updated schedule for college basketball preseason games - which will all be played within driving distance - that included Augusta area players. (Read more about the area ties in the Virginia Tech @ South Carolina game at this link.)
