North Augusta's Lady Yellow Jackets win... again!
The most impressive team in the area so far this season has been the North Augusta's Lady Yellow Jackets, who continued its hot streak Tuesday with a 48-41 win over Georgia's #2 class 4A team, Cross Creek. Sarah Crews led the way with 13 points; Aaliyah Bell added 10; and Mya Burns chipped in 9. The win gives North Augusta, a South Carolina class 4A state semi finalist last season, two over Cross Creek, one over Laney, class 2A's #2 team, and Grovetown, class 6A's #7 team.

Lots of joy was expressed through social media after Lakeside overcame a 14 point third quarter deficit to beat Glenn Hills 88-83 in overtime at home. Fans stormed the floor, and coaches expressed their admiration for the players' willingness to believe and not stop fighting in the Panthers' first ever win over a ranked opponent.
Per Lakeside's Will Wheeler, the Panthers were led by the following players:
Kre'Sean Hall - 27 points and 14 rebounds
Kalen Williams - 21 points and 5 rebounds
Deon Berrien - 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Lakeside improved to 5-3, and the Panthers play Jefferson County at home Friday.
Glenn Hills fell to 4-1, and the Spartans will host Butler Friday in a rivalry game between class 2A's #4 (Spartans) and #7 (Bulldogs) teams.
On a related note, Butler's game at Glenn Hills friday will be the AugBball Game of the Night.

Also, Laney's (#2 in GA's class 2A) Lady Wildcats topped Richmond 69-59 behind 31 points from Desha Benjamin.
