Glenn Hills earns road win over Midland Valley with a balanced attack

Four Glenn Hills players scored in double figures in the Spartans' 66-53 road win over Midland Valley Tuesday. Tim Williamson scored 12 of his team high 18 points in the fourth quarter when the Spartans ran away from the Mustangs by closing the game with a 19-9 run. Anthoney Ray, Midland Valley's 6'4" star guard, led all scorers with 20.

Glenn Hills (2-0) was sparked at different times by different senior leaders. Isaiah Bauman (11 points) scored consecutive field goals to erase a 4 point Midland Valley lead and even the score at 17 after one quarter. Timmy Sellers (12) scored on three straight put backs in the second quarter to help the Spartans take a 34-31 lead at intermission. And John Whitehead (13 points, 9 in the second half) and Williamson shouldered most of the second half load.

The Spartans host Richmond (4-1) Friday. Midland Valley (0-1) hosts Butler (1-1) Thursday.
