One more standout performer from the weekend

If you followed the @AugBball live coverage on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter this weekend you know all about Don Coleman's 62 points in two Cal games; Ahmed Hill's 19 point, 9 rebound performance, complete with a highlight dunk off the backboard, in Virginia Tech's season opening win over Detroit Mercy; Jelani Watson-Gayle's blistering beginning for 2-0 Benedict; and Tamyrik Fields's opening 19 point opening night thunderous second half dunk that put Augusta ahead of Mount Olive.

Before we move into a new week, I want to recognize the play this weekend of Augusta University forward Deane Williams in the Jaguars' back-to-back season opening wins at Barton College. 38 points on 15 of 18 field goal shooting (including a poster dunk on the first possession of the season shown here) and 16 rebounds was an eye popping stat line for the 6'8" junior!
