#1 Glenn Hills and the top ranked Laney Lady Wildcats win again

Glenn Hills outscored Jefferson County 30-11 in the final quarter to run away with the sixth win of the season for the undefeated Spartans. Tim Williamson and Isaiah Bauman each scored 20 points to lead the way. Glenn Hills has logged three region wins in the last 8 days.

Coach Travis McRae's team, which is ranked #1 in class AA by the AJC and other sites, will now turn its attention to the holiday tournament next week at Paine College. Jefferson County fell to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in region play with the loss.

Lady Wildcats use big third quarter to pounce on Butler


Laney, the defending state champion and the top ranked girls team in class AA, scored 27 third quarter points and turned a 26-20 nail biter at halftime into a 53-31 commanding lead heading into the fourth before hanging on for a 68-54 win.


The Wildcats will take an overall record of 6-0 on its trip to Mays tomorrow for a highly anticipated matchup with last season's class AAAAAA state champion.
