CSU's Christian Keeling (Laney '16) and SC State's Karon Wright (Silver Bluff '13) |
***Update - As those who followed yesterday know, I didn't catch Karon Wright's game winner on film. But ABC Columbia did, and you can see it at this link - http://www.abccolumbia.com/2017/12/12/highlights-sc-state-edges-csu-ot-91-88/ ***
Karon Wright scored 15 points on 5 three pointers Tuesday in South Carolina State's 91-88 overtime win over Charleston Southern. No shot was bigger than the last one, which he made with 1.8 seconds remaining in overtime to break an 88 tie and give the Bulldogs a come-from-behind victory. The clutch basket, which the Silver Bluff graduate talks about below in our post game interview, immediately answered a drive and score by CSU's Christian Keeling, the highly touted Laney graduate who was the only freshman in the country last season to lead his team in scoring and rebounding.
Keeling scored 20 points, but the Bucs dropped their second straight game and fell to 4-4. SC State improved to 3-9 with the win at home.
